It has been a little busy here in the real world of my life. Blog land has been neglected once again, and I am very sorry for my loyal readers out there. School has been in full swing. A term ended and B term started. I just love group projects in online classes! Work has been keeping me busy, and I am really enjoying it, minus dealing with some very unruly children. Winter arrived today. I am not a huge fan of the cold, mostly because it makes my arthritis hurt even worse. Speaking of that, I had my second infusion treatment done yesterday. I am no longer in remission and the lovely disease is back with a vengeance. Since this is not much of a entertaining post, I have done some shopping and acquired things from the parents, so I will share that with you.

Oh, Mexico

My last week in San Diego started today. Nothing too exciting happened, except for the protests around San Diego about Syria. I also woke up to two homeless people fighting around 4am. Fun night. I finished chapter one for my educational law class. Let me tell you, real exciting stuff there.

After spending some time in he dog park, and no dogs running because there is a heat wave, I ventured down to the outlet mall. It happens to be 2 miles, if even that, from the border of Mexico. Adventure. I picked up a couple things from J.Crew.

I also got a few more things that I could not find on the website. The outlet mall was really interesting. Lot’s of Mexicans. There was also a huge fence behind it, and border patrol roaming around. I also took pictures. No, I did not cross into the boarder because one, I did not have my passport and Dad somehow thought I was in Mexico at a mall. Oh, Dad.

That is as close as I will get to Mexico.

Adding Volunteer to the Traditions

I will be the first to admit, I am a sucker for t-shirts. To be even more specific, long sleeve ones. I live in them even when it is 90 something outside. I do not have to worry about that here in San Diego at all. There are plenty of great companies, and even more so The Southern blank. I want to talk about one of my favorites, and I realized this when I moved to Savannah a little over a year ago.

Volunteer Traditions. One might think that it is directly related to the University of Tennessee, but it is not. (Thankfully). I still bleed blue. The company started back in 2006 when they wanted something to represent the great state of Tennessee, the Volunteer State, hence the name Volunteer Traditions.

Here are some of my favorites from the Tennessee line.

The tanks are new for the summer. I love them. Perfect for a day on the lake or at the beach!

The half zips came out last winter, and it just might actually be my favorite. Rumor has it there might be some more for this coming winter! My dog, Abbie also likes it as well.

There are other states featured and they fall under the Heritage Line, such as Texas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi to mention a few. Another favorite shirt of mine is the Fall Means Football in the South shirt. It is true because west coasters do not understand that phrase, or even state of mind.

Volunteer Traditions is a great company, and extremely friendly. Mason, who I have finally met is probably one of the nicest people I have met. The company recently moved their store to a bigger location, and it is awesome. Be sure to check this amazing company out the next time you need a great t shirt or  state flag dog collar. They live by their moto, “Where state pride meets quality.” If you stop in the store, be sure to tell them I said hello!

My Addiction to Purses

I do not have a ton of purses, but I love them. I also seem to have expensive taste as well. I have to bags that I always switch around.

I guess since I cannot wear heels due to a bum knee, I stare and always look at purses. There is no telling how much money I have spent on them! Oops…

For starters, my navy blue Longchamp.

I love this thing. I have had it for almost two years. I also have a brown one, but it has been through a lot. My navy one has as well, but I just cannot get a new one.

It holds everything.

1. Kate Spade coin purse – the one I have is just pink.
2. Vineyard Vines wristlet
3. Lilly notebook.
4. Nikon Camera plus wide lens (not pictured)
5. Lilly koozie
6. Tory Burch Wallet

The next purse I use a lot is my Kate Spade Cobble Hill Small Leslie

It was a little pricey, but it is great for going out. You can wear it like a cross body, or just as a shoulder. Both are just fine.

I can also fit everything in it too! The color of mine is not the black, it is the oyster.

For class I use the large Longchamp.

My laptop, notebooks and books all fit. I am not sure how I am going to organize for the fall quarter, but when I figure it out there will be a post!

It is also great for traveling, as it makes a great carry on!

Well I must get to packing as I am heading home tomorrow! I will try to post when I can!
